The ESCO company originates from the mandatory Consortium among the 34 municipalities of the Province of Treviso belonging to the Montano river basin of the Piave river, established in 1956 with the aim of managing the fees paid by hydroelectric companies for the use of river waters and works aimed at promoting the economic and social progress of the populations.
